From time to time we can all feel miserable, sad and fed up and these are normal reactions to upsetting or stressful events. However if these feelings persist this can be signs of depression.

Symptoms of depression

The symptoms you may be having are lack of motivation, feeling hopeless, difficulties in sleeping, lack of appetite, no enthusiasm, not being able to concentrate,  feeling irritable, withdrawing, even having suicidal thoughts. These feelings can continue for months and can interfere with your work and relationships.

Reconnect with hope and optimism

Depression can leave you feeling very isolated and having someone to talk to can help you feel less alone. Counselling will help you identify the underlying causes of your depression and look at your thoughts and feelings that are contributing to your low mood.

Talking with someone in a safe, empathic environment will help you reconnect with hope and optimisim.
